Crystal Bowersox has gotten engaged.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the Elliston, Ohio, native and musician Brian Walker, are set to tie the knot next month.
Bowersox, 25, is currently recording her debut album.

“The label’s saying in the fall [of 2010] and I’m telling them in the spring [of 2011] because I don’t want to rush something out just to hit Black Friday sales,”
”I don’t think that’s right. I want … not just to have a product, but to have a good product, something that I will be proud of in 10, 15, 20 years,” she continued. “My debut album on a major label — it’s a huge thing, and I don’t want to just put something out there that’s thrown together to have something to sell. That’s just not right,” she said in an interview with 101.5 The River, a radio station located in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio.
We’re hoping she decides sooner rather than later, cause we can’t wait to hear it !

Monday June 21st, Crystal appeared on Jay Leno and performed “What’s Up”.
After the show Crystal met fellow guest Twilight’s Dakota Fanning and they bonded. Earlier on the show Dakota had professed her adoration for Crystal and her music.

Since American Idol Season Nine Runner Up Crystal Bowersox’s Idol performances ended, she’s been in the studio working on her new album.
“She’s the real deal,” producer/songwriter Wayne Wilkins — who hit the studio with Bowersox on Wednesday (June 16) — tells Billboard.com. “I’ve only worked with a couple of ‘Amerian Idol’ contestants before, and in terms of songwriting, she’s the most developed on that front. She literally could sit in a room with anybody, grab a guitar and start writing.”
Wilkins, who has worked with Jordin Sparks, Natasha Bedingfield and Beyonce, is teaming up with Crystal to bring the world what he calls a “folky” and “commercial” album.
No matter which musical direction she takes, Wilkins has no doubt that Bowersox will be successful. “To me, Crystal is potentially one of those people that will have a career way past the ‘American Idol’ thing,” Wilkins says. In three or four years, she’ll still be around and have a lot of fans supporting her.”

“American Idol” finalist, Crystal Bowersox had more than just the stress of the finale on her mind Tuesday night. She and her boyfriend, Tony Kusian, broke up just before her final performance.
Bowersox told Ryan Seacrest on his 102.7 KIIS-FM radio show that the break up was mutual. She said of the end of the relationship, “He went home. He wasn’t cool with the lifestyle.” She continued, “He’s a small town guy and it’s fine. But I’m a small town girl, but I want this. I want this more than anything, this career, this lifestyle. I didn’t think he was up for it. He didn’t think he was up for it.”
Kusian told People.com during the “American Idol” hometown visit that he does not need the attention.
“American Idol” judge, Kara DioGuardi, accompanied Bowersox to the Seacrest interview. She pointed to the fact that the heartache will probably improve Bowersox’s songwriting.
DioGuardi said, “You have to do your music. It’s not a choice for you. It’s what makes you whole. If somebody can’t hang with that, I’m sure he’s a lovely guy but right now this is your dream.”
Though Bowersox wished that the breakup could have happened at a different time, she wished Kusian well and stated that they will be friends for “a long time.” ……………..eCanadaNow.com May 28, 2010
Crystal didn’t have to wait long for a record deal. The day after the American Idol Finals she has signed a recording contract with 19 Recordings Limited and Jive Records, according to Billboard.
Nothing is set on an album release, but in years past it has been a fourth quarter release, most likely November.
