“American Idol” finalist, Crystal Bowersox had more than just the stress of the finale on her mind Tuesday night. She and her boyfriend, Tony Kusian, broke up just before her final performance.
Bowersox told Ryan Seacrest on his 102.7 KIIS-FM radio show that the break up was mutual. She said of the end of the relationship, “He went home. He wasn’t cool with the lifestyle.” She continued, “He’s a small town guy and it’s fine. But I’m a small town girl, but I want this. I want this more than anything, this career, this lifestyle. I didn’t think he was up for it. He didn’t think he was up for it.”
Kusian told People.com during the “American Idol” hometown visit that he does not need the attention.
“American Idol” judge, Kara DioGuardi, accompanied Bowersox to the Seacrest interview. She pointed to the fact that the heartache will probably improve Bowersox’s songwriting.
DioGuardi said, “You have to do your music. It’s not a choice for you. It’s what makes you whole. If somebody can’t hang with that, I’m sure he’s a lovely guy but right now this is your dream.”
Though Bowersox wished that the breakup could have happened at a different time, she wished Kusian well and stated that they will be friends for “a long time.” ……………..eCanadaNow.com May 28, 2010
