I can’t believe that Lee won over Crystal. Sje is amazing. Its such a same that we really don’t know what an idol is. She is compared to Janis Jplin, and american idol. She rocked it everytime she sang. She was so awesome when she sand\g with Alanis Morset and Joe Cocker. Lee was great but she was amazing, I will be the first in line with her album, and I promise you see will be like kelly and carrie…. God bless Crystal you won my heart, I havent been a fan of Idol but with you and Kara it made the show.I know that you will be great please come out with your a album….
I beleive Crystal won the hearts of many, you dont find real down to earth people anymore, who truely cares about others. Crystal was given an amazing talent for the world to share, and I personally will be the first one on line to buy her CD, and the next one and so on. I hope to see Crystal in her very own concert some day, and hopefully that day will come sooner than later. Keep singing for all us fans out there Crystal because you are an amazing person and have an amazing voice that I can listen to all day and night. Hope to be able to meet you one day and shake your hand.
It’s sad, but I knew it months before. I googled Lee Dewyze and it touted his SECOND album…so the store clerk from wherever was more than that…but everytime I posted this on Facebook, or wrote as I am now to Idol sites, my writing dissappeared. Then, as predicted, he took it. But Crystal deserved it…she was THE BEST! By far the best talent of ALL the talent presented. Consistant, week after week and remained her own ‘Self’ through it all. For the record…I believe American Idol is fixed from day one and will never watch it again.
I plan to buy Crystal’s album when it comes out…maybe it is out…I keep checking Walmart.
Lee won Idol because of demographics. He has an image that the “star-makers” felt would sell to a broader group of people. Idol is not merely about talent, it’s about commercial value; which contestant has the best chance to generate more money from a commercial point of view. Lee has a more contemporary image, more in line with today’s youngsters. Crystal; however, most certainly has the greater talent and gift and that is why I’ll be purchasing Crystal’s CD and not Lee’s. I don’t care if a particular artist chooses not to dress or “doo” their hair like the rest of the crowd, I simply care about their music, its message and if it can touch me inside. Crystal has the touch.
